This year's event is called, "Once Upon a Wonder World" is our 7th annual charity event.
Special Beauty Category
The special beauty category was full of new techniques in customizing, it was very exciting to look at these dolls! First was *Soleil* "Baby Rose" who is a girl who is surrounded by valuable possessions and rabbit friend. Her curly pigtails and pink themed outfit were very cute. The second contestant was Knit kit doll nagi's "Sumire" is a flower that holds the message, "small happiness". The third contestant, neroli&mayu's "Girl in shop of shell" is a girl that collects shells on the beach and makes little accessories out of them. The fourth contestant was kinokotti's "Precious Time" is about a girl wearing her favorite coat that her mother made and she loves spending time with her favorite bear. They said they were trying to express treasured time. You can definitely see how much care they put in to making this scenario. The fifth contestant is K.Q.B's "Rose Jardin". It is about a girl who lives in a house on a lake creating new strains of roses and has fun entertaining her friends. The rose covered ground is very romantic. The sixth contestant Waruso Neko's "Tiny Piano" is a girl who leaves for Paris to grant a wish of a pianist. When she wears all the clothes it makes her look like a covered up upright piano. The seventh contestant is Jabbawock's "Happy Little Candle". At one glance you can see the idea come through. It is about a fairy that is made out of cake! She gives a piece of her cake to sad people. Last but not least +++Lilac Frost+++'s "Flower Muffin" is about a girl who dresses up like a cake to go to her friend's party. Normally she is an ordinary girl but she goes through a literal transformation. The make up and expression was very unique.
Dance Performance by "Strange Kinoko"!
The "Strange Kinoko" performed their unique dance show, with modern dance moves and move their body in many angles. They have performed world wide, and have received great response from not just the dance world, but also the design and art world. Blythe even had a cameo in their performance and the audience was treated with a truly original performance.
Precocious Candy presents "Precocious Candy's Mush Room"!
Last year's winner for the natural beauty category, Precocious Candy's concept has been become a product! For the past year in between studies and school we met with Precocious Candy and looked in to the details of the doll through a series of meetings. She looked very happy holding her doll on stage.
The Grand Prix Results are announced:
Petite Beauty Category
Grand Prix: Queen of Hearts' Tea Time/1187 votes
Second place: Mindtrigger/ 1113 votes
Third place: Tottie Room/ 1088 votes
Fourth place: Itsumi /1058 votes
Queen of Heart's Tea Time's reaction: "It was challenging to think of the concept and then to make it! I think by choosing midnight, a time in transition we were able to move from yesterday to today and back. We can become little girls even if we get older. I came up with this idea a year ago and built it up little by little. I worked by myself, so it was a challenge to complete but I am glad I did."
Natural Beauty Category
Grand Prix: Jabbawocks/2204 votes
Second place: Stellinna/1717 votes
Third place: Mindtrigger/1446 votes
Fourth place: Yatabazah/1203 votes
Jabberwocks' reaction: "This is such an honor! My teammate will be really happy, she couldn't come to the event because she lives overseas. We had a difficult time putting this wire inside the doll without destroying the mold. We had a lot of different parts so when we displayed it for the event it came apart some times. We secured it pretty good for the event today so its fine now (laughs). It took about a month to make but with all the tests we did with the doll it definitely took longer then that. Our design has many intricate parts but we are looking forward to the challenge of translating this into a manufactured doll."

Third place: kinokotti/ 1295 votes
Fouth place: Jabbawocks/ 1208 votes
*Soleil*'s reaction*: We love Blythe so much, as sisters we have been making pieces for a while now. There was a time when we almost gave up applying, but our friends kept encouraging us. Customizing takes a long time and we have to keep trying until it works so we gave each other productive criticism and within a few months we got to finish the piece.
Thank you every one who were a part of the voting process! This year was another awesome event bringing many contestants from around the world making it a very international event. The event made us feel how much Blythe is loved across borders. The dolls that won the grand prix for Natural Beauty and Petite Beauty will become products in the next year! Special Beauty's Grand Prix winner will be transformed into a dress set! Please look forward to these exciting products.
After Omotesando Hills we will be holding an exhibition at Venus Fort at Odaiba. Please come look at see the craft and splendor of the dolls!
