The Blythe Experience

Yokohama Doll House

The exhibition "Blythe 8 Wonderful Years" opened at the Yokohama Doll House in June 2009!

Yokohama is celebrating its 150th anniversary of the opening its harbor. It’s very exciting to be holding our event with a very historic anniversary! A lot of people came and visited our Blythe exhibition.

This exhibition included dolls that from the beginning of the history of Neo-Blythes like "Parco Limited", "Mondrian" and all the dolls that have ever been released! It is incredible to see the growth and evolution Blythe has gone through these past 8 years. Also exhibited were the first anniversary doll, limited edition dolls, and dress sets.

This the very first exhibition that shows the progression of the entire Neo and Petite Blythe's history!

All together there were more then 300 dolls on display! It was a great way to see how Blythe's face, body, and skin has changed over the years.

In the limited edition shop there were lotteries for limited goods and dolls!

Some of the dolls included were Primadolly "Adorable Aubrey", "Winsome Willow", "Heather Sky" "Sunshine Holiday" and many more!

Yokohama Doll House's Producer Teruhisa Kitahara had this to say about the exhibition

The moment I met Blythe I was so taken by her charm that now I now have a few of my own. Through this exhibition, everyone will be able to see how Blythe has come in to Japan through "Parco Limited", the first-ever Now-Blythe doll released in Japan. Seeing all the Anniversary dolls, collaboration dolls, 138 Neo Blythes and 189 petite Blythes in one place was quite an incredible sight. I am sure that the long time fans will be very satisfied and new fans will discover and be enchanted by Blythe's charms and would want to collect more and more. I met many fans that came back numerous times, fans that enjoyed taking pictures with Blythe and also a lot of fans from overseas. I would love to see people who have no idea who Blythe is to discover and enjoy her charms.
