The Blythe Experience

Manga Girls Inspiration Exhibition Jan. 2011

"Manga Girls Inspiration" Exhibition was held on 6/26/2010 - 7/4/2010 for Blythe's 9th Anniversary Charity Event.

This time again we brought Blythe's grace and stylish looks to 2010's Anniversary exhibition. The event was held Tokyo's Omotesando Hills in the B3 floor at Space O.
This year we had cool, cute Blythe transformed as Manga girls and boys in theme of "Manga and Anime"! Once you enter the event space you are welcome to an array of the Manga world through the incarnations of Blythe dolls!

The exhibit showcases fashion barands and creators taking Manga as an inspiration for their Stylings for their dolls.

Familiar characters from Mangas will take form as Blythe dolls surrounding the finalists of this year's beauty contest.

In this exhibit, popular characters and popular titles from Mangas will be a part of the exhibition as Manga girls and Manga boys!
The awesome and cool Black Jack to Lupin the 3rd will take form as Manga boys.
For this unlikely incarnation onlookers were moved and surprised by these dolls!

Each doll was exhibited in individual cases and were coupled with a visual aide from which work they were referencing. The viewers were very much taken by these dolls.

The work done by the creators and fashion brands were all very unique and adorable! Taking Manga as an inspiration they were able to bring their unique vision and creativity and express their very own Blythe Doll.

We held a charity event at Space O which was a collaboration between Junie Moon, artists and celebrities from Japan.

Dolls designed by celebrities included Peter, Megumi Yokoyama, Chiaki, Tsubasa Masuwaka and Clamp.
Designing everything themselves and signed their names on Blyhe's forehead.
Peter took inspiration from "Takara Jenne", Megumi Yokoyama took inspiration from "Yokai Ningen Bera", Chiaki took inspiration from girl maga "Bara Shotte Masuga Nanika?", and Clamp took Kimihiro Watanuki from "XXXHOLic" and designed a doll according to his character. These dolls were up for auction and even people who weren't able to attend the auction were able to give their own wager via mail. All the proceedings were donated to an Orphanage in Thailand called Chiang Rai Home. For everybody that were a part of this event we give our upmost gratification.

In the center of the event were the finalists for the beauty contest.

Just as we expected the skill level of he finalists were incredibly high, their skill level in customizing and their sense of style were a pleasure to admire.
We gathered votes from the event space and from our PC and mobile sites.
Miss Popularity award went to APURICO' "White Cat Girl CHELSEA" and Koji Koji and Kamomo's "Little Witch" were chosen for the CWC Group CEO Junko Wong Choice award.

At this event we also had the 9th anniversary CWC limited Neo Blythe "Marabelle Melody" exhibited.

Her pop and Casual fashion and her elegant fashion sense after she transforms in to her alter ego looks fantastic.
This year we have a CWC limited Petite Blythe Anniversary doll "Tora Unpappa".

On our Jumbotron we had a cute animation of our 9th anniversary dolls in action!
Visitors of the exhibition were able to take pictures at the photo booth, everybody took adorable pictures to take home as souvenirs.

For the limited edition shop we had limited dolls and new goods which were very popular!

We had the 9th Anniversary Petite Blythe "Tora Unpappa, CWC limited "Achachumuzukin", "Kiss me True", "Love and More" and many more.
On 7/3rd (sat) we had a lottery for "Simply Bubblegum", the doll has already been sold out and it was a chance for people to get their hands on a very rare doll.
