“Manga Girl Inspiration” Exhibition was held at Kyoto International Manga Museum between 15 January 2011 – 30 January 2011.

This is the first time that we hold an exhibition in “Manga” theme and also our first exhibition in Kyoto. We found the venue that is the most suitable for this event , “the Kyoto International Manga Museum”.

This museum were established by Kyoto city along with Seika University dedicated especially for Manga.

The museum was opened in 1926 and renovated in 2006. The museum building was an elementary school building and inside, there are more than 300,000 manga books.

Junko Wong also said that “it is really wonderful that Blythe in Manga theme are exhibition at the place where they have a big complication of Japanese Manga”.

Before we started the exhibition, a lot of Manga fans came to the museum and inquired about it. To response this request, we arranged the exhibition pre-open on 13 January. Even though we called it “pre-open”, but it’s the same as the exhibition had started. The exhibition space was opened and the doll goods were available at the museum shop!

Since this venue is a place called the Manga Museum, we exhibited all Blythes in Manga character theme.

At the museum, there are a lot of manga fans came to enjoy the exhibition. There were students from all over Japan come to the museum with their schools too.

The special characteristic of the Manga Museum venue is that there are Manga fans in any ages coming everyday. From small kids who came with their parents to adults, this is the place that anyone can enjoy Manga and will never get bored all day long.

Even people who don’t know much about Blythe, they also enjoyed Blythe as their favorite Manga characters.

At the venue, we were really touched by a nice comment from a student who first meet Blythe, “they used the same dolls to create so many different characters! This is really wonderful. They are very cute! I am so impressed!”.

Inside the museum, there is a museum shop that has variety of Manga goods.During the Blythe Exhibition, Blythe goods and dolls were sold at Blythe corner.

Blythe stationary and Manga Girl Inspiration photo book were very popular.

Thank you so much for coming!
