Title: Fruit Cookie

At the event, she was the last one walk the runaway.
Her Blythe was very intricate and the original box captured everyone's eyes.

Q1: Which part did you put the most effort?
The concept for my doll was she was Fruit Punch's younger twin sister.
The twins own a cookie shop and she is wearing the shop uniform.
I made boxes for the cookies and little free give-away toys to build up the image of the shop.
I enjoyed making the stories. instead of just making clothes.

Q2: How did you first meet Blythe?
As it so happens, I was shopping at Parco and saw Blythe forthe first time.Until then, I only saw her in the TV commercial, I was very excited tosee the real thing.
It wasn't until much later when I realized the dolls could be purchased.
My hobby was crafts and sewing, I gradually started to make clothes and accessories after I started to collect Blythe.

Q3: What kind of things would you like to do in the future?
I would like to continue to make the goods and dresses.

Team: Kobatogumi
Title: I'm a graphic designer.

This team is full of great talent. The accessories were absolutely amazing.
The bag actually opens and her earrings were also hand-made. It is hard to believe that all these items were and made by a person who calls himself,"a regular businessman".
Q1: Which part did you put the most effort?
The idea is based on a business-woman in Paris working for a fashion related company. Her face is simple and natural and she is most comfortable when she is wearing sunglasses.

Q2:Can you tell us about your team members?
All together we have 4 members in our team. We have a male team member who is in charge of accessories, and two women, each in charge of making clothes and customization. Also,a male model who walked the runway at the event.
We all met through Blythe on-line. This is actually the first time we saw each other's faces. During the process, we didn't have a meeting, we all did our own things and when everything were done, amazingly all matched perfectly. We show each other our work via the internet and we are very happy how everything came out.

Q3:What would you like to do in the future?
We couldn't win the Grand-Prix so we will be back next year for revenge! We want use this year wisely and keep on trying until we getthe Grand-Prix.

Team: @franc
Title: Trip

"Everyone tells me that I was very calm during the presentation, but I just didn't know what was going on" says @franc. Backstage she was very nervous but when the camera was turned on her, she gave a cute smile and walked the runaway with confidence.
Q1:Which part did you put the most effort?
The theme was she is going on a trip. I wanted her to observe the color of the places she travelers, so I tried to make her not too colorful.

Q2: How did you meet Blythe?
I saw the poster for Parco. I thought her big round eyes were absolutely adorable! As soon as I bought my first Blythe, I started customizing.

Q3: What kind of things would you like to do in the future?
I tried to dress her more like a real person instead of typical doll coordination.
I hope to keep the doll feeling, but make it a little different from real people's clothes.

Team: Ohariko Club
Title: Winter Wonderland

The winter outfit was beautiful and fun.The matching outfit for the model was also very lovely!
Q1: Can you please tell us about your team?
(Eric)
Our team consist 2 people. This is Miyuki. She is my doll clothing teacher. I saw her work at doll show and I became her pupil.

Q2:Which part did you put the most effort?
(Miyuki)
Almost everything is hand-sewn. We wanted the lining to be beautiful as well. The design changed as we made the clothes. The same outfit that was worn by our model are also hand sewn.

Q3: How did you first meet Blythe?
(Eric)
Last year, at my wedding I did an event where I dressed-up dolls in a variety of wedding dresses and displayed the photos. The idea of dressing the dolls in wedding dress came first, and as I looked for the perfect doll, I found Blythe.
(Miyuki)
I was a fan of Licca-chan and Jenny but one day my husband told me that Blythe is very popular these days.I always thought I found Blythe on my own, but my husband says "I told you first".

Q3: What kind of things would you like to do in the future?
(Eric)
Recently, "retro" is my obsession, so I hope to make more retro clothes that are unique. The concept is "retro-lolita".
(Miyuki)
I want to make clothes that are impossible to wear. Like skirts spread out very wide, something very dolly.

Team: baby beans
Title: Angelic white

Christina's sweet smile at the event left a good impression on all of us.She was in charge of making the dress, but whenever she told her friendsabout making doll clothes, they didn't understand. But she told us that when she came to Japan, she was very happy and relieved to see sincere Blythe fans styling the dolls and taking their time to see her work.
Q1: Which part did you put the most effort?
(Yamashita)
We wanted to make her look soft and airly like a white marshmallow.
To make her face look child like, we added the bottom eyelashes and cheeks.
Also instead of coloring in the lips, we drew a dark line in the
center to bring out the depth and colored lightly in the center.
We believe this gave her a healthy girly look.

Q2: How did you meet Blythe?
(Yamashita)
Parco's TV commercial.
I started to play with her hair first, and then gradually started working on customization.
(Wada)
When somebody showed me Blythe for the first time, my first impression was "freaky".But her adorable appearance slowly grew on me.

Q3: What kind of things would you like to do in the future?
(Yamashita)
I like chic style and that's what I will continue to make.
(Wada)
The team "baby beans" are 2 mothers who met through their children which happen to go to a same kindergarten. They were the first team to walk the runway and their airly marshmallow Blythe attracted everyone's eyes.

We hope you enjoyed the interviews.
Maybe you will be walking the runaway next year!?
