"The Princess, The Mermaid and Blythe" exhibition at Kobe Marui coming soon!

Blythe will be landing in Kobe for the very first time with the exhibition "The Princes, The Mermaid and Blythe" from April 25 to May 11!
In 2008, we will be holding many of exhibitions with a theme of fairy tales around Japan.
This time the inspiring city of Kobe will showcase "Rapunzel" and "Mermaid" themed Blythe dolls designed by popular fashion designers.
Also, there will be a special autograph session on April 25th by Junko Wong, the creative director of Blythe and a the famous artist, Saki Yamashita.
Anyone can attend the exhibition so, please come and enjoy these amazing Blythe!

Junko Wong is the CEO of CWC Group that runs Creative Agency CWC Tokyo, CWC-i New York, Junie Moon, cafe hana and the CWC group galleries.
She produced and represented artists and character designers for over 15 years.
She is the creative director for Blythe and is known for bringing back Blythe as the popular Neo Blythe doll.
The concept, design, producing, marketing and promotion plans are all made with her vision and supervision.
Junko was born and raised in Hawai'i and she is experienced in Hawaiian culture and loves hula.
The book "NA WAHINE 'AULI'I" (CWC BOOKS/ Graphic Ltd.) was published in January, 2008 and shows her love for Hawai'i through Blythe dolls.

[Saki Yamashita's Profile]

Saki Yamashita currently lives and works in Kobe.
She has loved to create things since she was little.
After studying clothing design in high school, she started her brand "CHERRY MERRY MUFFIN."
She is not only designing clothes for women but she is also famous for her doll outfits. She is active in many exhibitions and charities and continues to produce her original characters and dolls.
