Let's go to visit Blythe!

I would like to send my sincere congratulations to Blythe on her 8th Anniversary.
It has already been two months since the exhibition in June at Omotesando Hills, but the event has moved to Odaiba VenusFort, which is very suitable for this year's theme, 'Fashion,' I think.
The people that go there for shopping will be amazed to see the fashionable Blythe dolls displayed there.

I have been involved in the Blythe world ever since I have started editing, 'Dolly Style Magazine' and I am always fascinated with her great modeling talent.
I guess it is her long eyelashes and the changeable eye colors, which make her charming.
When we look at her through a camera, she shows us a wide range of feelings.
Sometimes she is very vibrant and at other times, she is very mysterious.
She is so much more expressive than any other doll.
Viva! Blythe!

The other day, we interviewed Blythe's producer, Junko Wong, and asked her for stories about her favorite Blythe dolls and the ones which changed her life.
Starting from the legendary doll, Parco Limited, the more stories I heard, the more I realized that Blythe is a living doll.

Although Blythe doll was once forgotten, a lot people in Japan have come to love her in recent years.
Some, like myself fell in love with her photogenic beauty, some pursue the their own creativity to customize her, and some enjoy her fashion styling.
The concentration of fans and the strong, yet flexible wills of the creators crystallize the production of Blythe dolls every year.
They are always evolving and showing us fresh new styles.
In this sense, Blythe is an active, spirited doll, living with us at the present time.

At the exhibition, you can see the Blythe dolls created by about 100 fashion brands and artists for this year's event.
The chance to see thisyear's doll is possible only now in 2009. Don't miss it!
