“10 Happy Memories” exhibition begins!

For this 10th Blythe Anniversary event you will be able to see 175 Neo Blythe dolls!
Blythe debuted in Japan in the winter of 2000 as a model for a TV commercial for department store, Parco. Time has really gone by quickly since her debut. If you put together the 175 Neo Blythe dolls with 200 Petite Blythe dolls and the newly produced Middie Blythe, it adds up to more than 370 dolls!
For this 10th year Blythe is going back to her roots and will be returning to Parco to celebrate and remember this fun and wonderful history. We are extremely happy to be able to do this exhibition. We would like to give you a short report of the opening night!

Here is the report from the main space form Parco Factory!

A lot of people came in right from the beginning of the day and brought an abundance of flowers, making the entrance have a very pleasant and sweet aroma.

Customers lined up before opening hours and had their eyes set on the Anniversary dolls. Some people bought sets of 3 dolls and enjoyed their special gift of limited T-shirts and Tote bags. Most people did their shopping first then went on to see the exhibition. The sticker machine has become quite a tradition for these events, it prints your name specific to this 10th Anniversary. It’s right outside the event space so please check it out.

The exhibition was organized chronologically from 2001 to 2011. Once you enter the event space the earliest Blythe dolls are there to greet you and are posing in a way that compliments their style and concept. Aside from the chronology of produced dolls, there is a section for anniversary dolls and collaboration dolls. You may have missed the chance to purchase some of these designs because most of these dolls are sold out. Now it’s your chance to get that doll that you’ve always wanted but couldn’t. We will also be showcasing their accessories! You may find new things that you may have not noticed from before and it may remind you of some of the memories with these older dolls. Come and enjoy these wonderful fashion dolls!

It is very difficult to get your hands on all of the dolls and its even more rare to be able to see all these dolls in one place. The visitors of the exhibition are allowed to photograph the dolls. People were getting really into their documenting process.
**Photography is only allowed within the personal confines, （i.e： blogs). Use of the images for promotional use for business and licensing is not allowed.

We are also showcasing the packaging of the dolls at the event space. Not only are the dolls unique and distinct from each other, so is the packaging. There are 80 different type of packaging exhibited on the wall and it got a lot of attention from the exhibitors.

●Report on　“Petite on Parade” exhibition at the Logos Gallery!
The Petite Blythe came along a little while after Neo Blythe has set the scene and now the amount of Petite Blythe has surpassed the numbers of Neo. They have all come together and have been displayed on the wall, showing their cute looks at Logos Gallery.

●Marabelle Melody and Tora Unpappa will also be part of Blythe’s 10th Anniversay!
The 9th anniversary doll is going to transform through customization this year for the 10th anniversary event! Marabelle and Tora Unpappa　have been customized by the finalists of past Beauty Contests. Not only are they for exhibit they will also be available for purchase.

●Why not reminisce about the exhibition at Moph Café?

On the 1st floor of the Parco at Moph Café, they will be having a special menu of sweets and drinks. In the expansive café they will be have Blythe dolls displayed and photo collages of Blythe on the windows. It might be the perfect place to talk about Blythe with your friends.

●We are having Fashion brands within Parco style Blythe!

This summer, fashion brands are going to transform Blythe! In direct correlation with Blythe’s “10 Happy Memories” exhibition these fashion brands will be styling Blythe just like they style their humans. They will be exhibited throughout Parco.
