Hidden deep within a magical forest was a lake with crystalline jade-colored waters. The denizens of this lake were fairies, plants, and animals that could speak.

One sad day, the kingdoms that bordered this magical Forest broke out in war. The King and Queen of the Silver Kingdom sent their daughters, 10-year-old Princess Christina and the 3-year-old Princess Eleanor, to a small and ancient castle in the Forest of the Lake for their safety.

Trees and shrubs grew around this castle where the princesses hid, shrouding its walls and ramparts from the eye. Countless soldiers walked by the edge of the Lake but none of them noticed this castle because this magical Forest was a hidden sanctuary and protected the innocent against those with an evil or hateful heart. As time passed, the forest grew invisible even to the villagers of the kingdoms who lived nearby.
