Behind Blythe in New York  2006.03
Behind Blythe took place on March 3, 2006 until March 17 at Toy Tokyo/The Showroom NYC in New York. Our darling Blythe reports the event from New York. Check out Blythe in the Big Apple!
Here I am in NY! Right away, I took a tour around Manhattan. The building in the far back is a very famous building. It was featured in the movie, Spider Man.
The cab is the number 1 transportation in NYC! It will be a fun drive, seeing places that subway cannot take you. But it's hard to catch one!
Taking the subway to Bleeker Street. The New York City subway is like a maze. I'm afraid I will get lost.

I became friends with Minx, a girl who works at a famous diner close to our B&B. The breakfast was very yummy!
Minx is a fun and sweet girl who wants to become a singer. Next time, I would love hear her sing.
Minx with the beautiful waitress who also works at a diner. The people you meet through traveling become life long friends!
Tristan who will be having exhibition at gallery LELE in April had a show at Fuse gallery. Tristan is a very nice guy. Even in his busy schedule he helped us set up the show. I can't wait to see him in Japan! Everyone, please come visit us when you're in Tokyo!
The exhibition took place at Toy Tokyo/The Showroom NYC, which is located on the second floor of the building.

The fans are waiting in line 30 minutes before the opening! Thank you for coming in such a cold weather (the temperature was close to 32 F/ 0C).
Again, many fans came to the opening! Everyone is so taken by Blythe.

Variety of people came to visit our show like Koko from CWC- i, a famous illustrator, Kenzo Minami, and the friendly fans. The opening night was a success. Thank you everyone!
I am going back to Japan today. I'm sad to say good bye to Minx, who became a very good friend. Good bye Minx. Send me lots of e-mails!
