Hello everyone!�つ I Have just came back from the Behind Blythe exhibition at�つ Magic Pony in Toronto. This was the first date at the�つ tour of Blythe coming back to North America.�つ Having been to many Blythe events in Japan, I was very excited meet the fans and the North American Blythes!�つ
I was very interested to see how Canadian Blythe would be styled, and to see the extent of their customization.�つ This group of lucky ladies show the range of styles: punkish, girly casual, modish cool and�つ one Blythe had beautiful shimmering purple hair!
I was interested in where people got their information for customizing their Blythe outside of Asia.�つ All over Japan there are books and workshops that specialize in custom Blythe, these�つ fans were so creative with their dolls!�つ This lovely doll had amazing white mohair and custom red lipstick. She is certainly sassy and cute in her red leather dress!
It was amazing how the fans in Canada and Japan are so similar.�つ They were so interesting and creative, they loved Blythe not just as a doll but as a wonderful creative outlet.�つ I think this is the most exciting thing about Blythe, the ability to make her your own.�つ She becomes a part of our lives and enhances the gifts that we all have.�つ Thank you to all the wonderful people from who traveled to Toronto for this exhibition and special thanks to the wonderful staff of Magic Pony! |
