Title: Gentle River
Christina's sweet smile at the event left a good impression on all of us.
She was in charge of making the dress, but whenever she told her friends about making doll clothes, they didn't understand.
But she told us that when she came to Japan, she was very happy and relieved to see sincere Blythe fans styling the dolls and taking their time to see her work. |

I used air-brush to do the make up.It was my first time using the air blush so I found it very difficult.
Our team consists of 4 people. I'm from Australia, the others are from the US and Singapore.
The team is very international, don't you think?
We met on-line which became our means of communication for our team.As the team leader, I came to Japan to attend the event. It was my first time to Japan and I was very excited.

I use to play with her when I was little. When I became older, I found her on the internet.
When I was little, I use to think that she had 10 different eye colors. So it was shocking for me to find out that she only has 4 colors. That was quite shocking.
Blythe looks different all the time. Her expressions as well as her style.That's so mysterious. That's what attracts me to Blythe.

I wanted to make her look fun and exciting.The make-up matches with her clothes and I didn't want the make-up to look flashy nor plain so I emphasized the eyelashes. I put the most effort in small accessories.
I made a mini-Blythe with clay.
I thought it would be fun to use the same accessory for my self so I made it into a bracelet. |

I saw her in a toy shop. I thought she was a very unique doll. About half a year later, I started to style her clothes, until
then I had just displayed her.
I started off making simple dresses.

For Blythe, I want to make dresses with edge and originality.
I'm personally not into fashion that much but I prefer cool and chic instead of cute.

very fresh and new.

I love dolls to begin with. I played with Jenny, Timotei, and Licca-chan since I was little. I found out about Blythe when I was
looking through doll related site. Her big eyes gave me strong impression and that's how I became a fan. Later, I started making clothes, changing make-up, and customization. Now I have 50 Blythe. |

Our team was the biggest team in the contest consisting of 5 people. I already had the design in my mind so I personally asked each doll clothing designer and doll designers that I admire to join the team.This is my dream team.
I wanted to make a doll with sweet and soft qualities.I showed my rough sketch to my teammates and each member was assigned to make outfit, a small doll that Blythe will carries, or accessories. Each person worked on their specialties.We all lived apart, so during the process we photographed the parts and used the internet to see what everyone else is doing. In the end, everything came together perfectly.

Currently, we are making a website for this doll we have created.
We have come a long way, we would love to do something again. |
