2008 Blythe Photo Contest "Every Picture Tells a Story" now accepting entries!
The Annual Blythe Photo Contest is having an open call for entries!
This year's title/theme is " Every Picture Tells a Story" so take your Blythe and photograph her in a situation that will visually convey a narrative or story.
The styling and situation is very important for a good photo.
You can mix and match any fashion item and even shoot Neo and Petite together if you want!
30 to 40 semi finalist winners will have their photos published in the annual Photo Contest winners postcard book!

"Every Picture Tells A Story" Blythe Photo Contest
[ WHO CAN ENTER? ]
Anyone. Except employees of CWC, Hasbro, Tomy Co., e-Revolution, and/or Subarudo, participating judges are not eligible to enter this competition.
[ ENTRY FEE ]
1,000 JPY per photo entered.
There is no limit to the number of photos one contestant can enter.
[ PHOTO SUBJECT ]
Any Neo or Petite Blythe will be accepted as the character in your photo.
The dolls may be photographed individually or together in a group.
All Blythe dolls produced by CWC and manufactured by Takara Tomy and e-revolution are eligible.
[ HOW TO ENTER ]
Please attach one copy of Entry Form A to the back of each 8 x 10 inch (20.3cm x 25.4cm) photo.
Also enclose a copy of Entry Form B in the envelope with your VISA or MASTERCARD credit card number.
Please note that photos will not be returned.
Your entry must arrive by August 25, 2008.

and published in a postcard book.
All finalists will receive 5 copies of the " EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY " postcard book a prize.
Copyright remains with the photographer, but CWC reserves the right to use these photographs for promotions, Blythe goods, and publicity print material on CWC owned websites and publications without compensation or seeking further permission.

The 6th Anniversary Charity Auction has ended!
The auction for the "Princess a la mode" 2007 Blythe Charity Fashion Show dolls has now ended.
The grand total raised from this charity auction is6,267,390 JPY!
The proceeds have been donated to the Organ Transplant Association, NPO Japan.
The NPO foundation assists people in need of organ transplants, and works with the patient and their family for outpatient assistance.
We give great thanks to all the artists who created the wonderful dolls for this charity.
We also deeply thank all of the Blythe fans and collectors who participated in this auction, your bids helped a person in need!

This year's "Once Upon A Wonder World" Anniversary event Blythe dolls will be exhibited in a traveling exhibition for the rest of the year, with the dolls going up for auction on Yahoo Japan in the Spring of 2008.

The Neo Blythe "Denizens of the Lake" lottery ends today.
We wanted to make everyone aware that payment for the Neo Blythe "Christina the Bride" and "Eleanor the Forest Dancer" will be processed on a special CC Now website.
Information about payment will only be sent to the winners of the lottery.
*Please take note that the anniversary dolls are limited one per person.

Singapore Toy and Comic Convention Event and Tea Party!
The "Blythe Stylish Creations" exhibition and "Behind Blythe" history dolls traveled to Singapore for the first Singapore Toy and Comic Convention!
There was a wonderful turn out of Blythe fans and new fans alike.
Junko Wong was on hand meeting fans, and the staff of Dollz Inc. was very helpful in educating people about Blythe.
Fans from all around Asia came to the convention center some from Thailand, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
There was an exclusive invite-only Tea Party!
All of the guests were asked to bring their Blythe dressed as their favorite fairy tale. At the event, all of the Blythe were displayed together then we had a imprompt Beauty Contest!
The guests were asked to vote for their favorite dress-up doll, and she would win the title of "Miss Popularity".
After tea and sweets, the votes were cast and the winner was Cynthia Bi!
Her lovely "Last Kiss" Neo Blythe is Miss Popularity of Singapore.

She had this to say about her Blythe outfit which she design and sewed herself:
"I design the outfit with in mind of the theme 'Wonder World'. I wanted to create a feeling of fantasy thats how the design of the outfit came about.I chose the colour and the material of the outfit to match the Blythe doll, last kiss. Last kiss has the ability to bring out the feeling of fairyland. It took me 10 days to complete the design, starting from choosing the material to the completion of the outfit. I felt great and excited about the tea party that day. It was a nice one and everyone could exchange pointers about their Blythe dolls. I got to see many different dolls with different outfits and Freddy and Andy's customized Blythe dolls." - Cynthia Bi

"Aketsun!" entered the 1st Blythe Beauty Contest and won second runner-up.
The image of her styling doll was used for the CWC original stationery and received a favorable review.

"Aketsun!" has also been participating a lot of Blythe events such as Junie Moon's "Variety Fair" and charity anniversary events.
She is a big fan of Blythe, and is devoting herself to her Neo and Petite collection.

"Miss Sally Rice" is a friend of "Mrs. Retro Mama," who was popular for her retro-themed style and vintage-like skin tone.
"Miss Sally Rice" also has a retro look.
There is a Showa-style black cat applique on her red dress.
She has a different look when she takes off the white collar and wears her pink blouse under her dress.
Her face type is Radiance, and she has a vintage-like skin tone that is a bit fairer than Mrs. Retro Mama's.
