Have you checked out the dolls created by the Blythe Beauty Contest finalists?
A total of 24 finalist teams will be competing for three top Grand Prix titles at the 3rd Blythe Beauty Contest Event on Sunday, July 6, 2008, the last day of the 7th Anniversary Blythe exhibition at Omotesando Hills in Tokyo.
Public voting for Blythe fans will be held at the mobile site (Japan only) and on-line from June 28 to July 4.
Voting will take place at the event site from June 28 to July 5.
On July 6 we will be holding the Beauty Contest Event as a closed event at the Omotesando Hills event space, with a panel of celebrities and doll aficionados judging the finalist dolls.
The judges scores will account for 50% of the overall points for each contestant.
The Blythe fans' votes will count as the other 50% of the overall points for each contestant.
The judges votes will be combined with the public votes to determine the Grand-prix winners for each category.
The contestants have come from all over the world to attend this very special event!

The Judges of the Blythe Beauty Contest Event are:

◆Megumi Murano-Chief Designer of Jane Marple

Born in Tokyo.
After Graduating from Kuwasawa Design School majoring in Dress Design, she became a designer of the famous fashion band "Milk" until 1985.
Then she established "Saint Mary Mead" and became the chief designer of "Jane Marple."
In 1994 she started a new line, "Jane Marple don le salon" and she is now designing all the clothing for the two lines.

◆Hello Kitty designer Yuko Yamaguchi

Yuko Yamaguchi was born in the Kouchi Prefecture and graduated from the Women's Art College.
She has been the designer for Hello Kitty for the past 28 years.
She has created design applications for many characters for Hello Kitty and these have been manufactured into 50,000 types of merchandise for 60 countries around the world.
Yuko broke new ground in the field of fan relations, making the Sanrio shops the main meeting place for Sanrio fans around the world.
She has a very close relationship with the fans, and has had international signing sessions at over 1,000 events.
In recent years she has collaborated with a variety of international and Japanese artists for Hello Kitty design.
She is responsible for creating characters and design as the Director and General Manager of Character Design Development at Sanrio.

◆shortcoco magazine Head Editor Makoto Saito

Born April 5th 1963, Makoto was the head editor for "Rocking On" and established Prevision Magazine.
He now publishes magazines for spoon and FREECELL, and is the head editor for shortcoco.

◆Mitsubachi @BabyBee

Doll Customizer, she began customizing dolls in 2002.
Photographs of her dolls are published in doll magazines and she creates and customizes dolls for CWC-sponsored events.
She is also an advisor for doll coordination.

Blythe official photographer Gina Garan and Blythe's creative producer Junko Wong will also be the final two judges for this event!
