Throughout 2008 we will be producing numerous events with Blythe acting as the heroine in fairytale settings.
This all begins with the anniversary event in June "Once Upon A Wonder World", where original Blythe dolls will be hand styled and dressed by a variety of designers and artists from around the world. The former semi-finalists of past Blythe Beauty Contests will be making their own original dolls based off the stories;

"Anne of Green Gables", "Hänsel and Gretel", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Wizard of Oz", "The Nutcracker", "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", "Through the Looking-Glass", "Rapunzel" and "The Little Mermaid". These beloved childhood stories will come to life in the form of these one-of-a-kind dolls. Prepare to delve into a fairytale land featuring Blythe as a beloved cast of characters, at Ometesando Hills this June.

Blythe fans from around the world will be competing to make the most beautiful Blythe doll! There are 3 categories this year for the 2008 Beauty Contest, "Miss Natural Beauty", "Miss Special Beauty" and a brand new category "Miss Petite Beauty". The semi-finalist teams will compete at the 7th anniversary charity event where they will parade their dolls in front of the judges and audience. Each year the level of work gets higher and higher, and we are sure this year is going to be stunning! Voting for this event will take place at the event space, the mobile phone site in Japan, and on the blythedoll.com website. The judges will have the final vote at the event where they will crown the 3 grand-prix winners. These winners will go on to have their original designs produced into real Blythe dolls and dress sets.
*The exhibition is closing on July 6 as Blythe Beauty contest is taking place at the event space. However, the limited edition Blythe shop will be open at that time.
